“Moment”

An original song that I put out in 2018. This track was written, recorded, and produced by myself in the Orange garage I was living in at the time. The process happened over the final days of Summer ’16 and bled into that Winter. The mellow acoustic guitar melody that drives the song actually comes from an idea that my older brother and I whipped up back when I was in middle school. Additional recording for the piano and vocals was done at my childhood home: Stockton, New Jersey.

Lyrics

i remember watching the sunrise
when You said, “it’s alright
to be nervous.”
i tore a hole in Your h&m skinny jeans;
so what—we’re just nineteen.
with You i feel endless.

hold my soul;
look me in the eyes.
i want to die in this moment with You.

i remember ugly sweaters and fine wine
just as red as my
blooming love for You.
we danced atop a garage in the moonlight.
You’re a wildflower in flight;
i want to fly with You.

hold my soul;
look me in the eyes.
i want to die in this moment..
hold my soul;
look me in the eyes.
i want to die in this moment with You.

You are the fervent force heating up my heart.
i felt a love for You from the start.
You are the fervent force heating up my heart.
